Environmental Associate

Summary

Join Pine Gate Renewables, a leading renewable energy company, as an Environmental Associate supporting the Environmental team in all aspects of environmental due diligence and compliance for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. You will support the development of scopes, timelines, and budgets for environmental assessments and permitting. The role involves assisting with consultant oversight, report preparation, regulatory research, and internal review of environmental scopes. You will also manage invoices and project documentation. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, organization, and collaboration. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Requirements

• 2 or more years’ experience in environmental due diligence and compliance for utility-scale renewables are preferred
• Strategic thinker, problem-solving skills, and strong analytical skills
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for individual work, team goals, and overall project success
• Eagerness to learn and proactive approach to seeking clarification. The ideal candidate asks questions to ensure understanding and foster continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Support the Environmental Compliance team in developing scopes, timelines, and budgets for environmental assessments, permitting, and other regulatory compliance documentation
• Assist in the oversight of external consultants
• Assist in the preparation of presentation materials and reports for the Environmental team
• Research various environmental regulatory requirements
• Assist with internal review and executions of environmental scopes
• Reviewing, submitting, and tracking invoices and payment obligations for environmental scopes
• Set up data rooms, obtain signatures for project documents, and ensure proper storage of executed documents
