Summary
Join our team as a Project Manager for Epic Ambulatory projects! This fully remote position (with occasional onsite visits) runs from 6/27/25 to 1/2/26. You will lead all phases of Epic Ambulatory projects, from planning to go-live support. Responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, developing project plans, facilitating Epic workflows, and serving as a liaison between clinical departments and IT. You will also track project milestones, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct post-implementation reviews. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of project management experience (including 2+ years in Epic Ambulatory), and relevant Epic certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in Epic Ambulatory implementations or support
- Epic Ambulatory certification or Epic Project Manager certification (current or within 6 months of hire)
- Proven ability to manage complex healthcare IT projects
- Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and EHR systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of Epic Ambulatory-related projects, including planning, execution, and go-live support
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams including clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, risk logs, budgets, and resource allocations
- Facilitate Epic-specific workflows, integrations, and change management processes
- Work closely with Epic Ambulatory analysts and builders to validate scope, ensure timely configuration, and meet project deliverables
- Serve as the primary liaison between clinical departments and IT during the project lifecycle
- Track and report on key project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable healthcare regulations
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and go-live readiness activities
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Experience in change management and process improvement methodologies
- Prior experience working in an integrated Epic environment (e.g., MyChart, Care Everywhere, Orders)
