Requirements
- Have a Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience
- Have 3+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration projects
- Be proficient in ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache Nifi
- Have expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Be familiar with ETL patterns and data processing best practices
- Have experience with cloud-based data services like AWS Glue or Azure Data Factory
- Possess strong problem-solving skills for debugging and optimizing complex workflows
- Reside within the continental US
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across diverse systems
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and meet business objectives
- Optimize data pipelines to ensure efficiency, scalability, and performance
- Build data integration workflows using tools like Talend, Informatica, or Apache Nifi
- Perform data validation, profiling, and cleansing to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Implement best practices for data integration, security, and governance in compliance with federal guidelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues while providing ongoing system support
- Document data flows, processes, and technical specifications
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development
- Be familiar with the VA environment
- Be able to obtain a government clearance
- Have Azure Certified Cloud Practitioner or any related certification
- Have knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
- Be proficient in scripting languages like Python or Java for data transformations
