Summary

Join Auros, a high-frequency trading firm in the global cryptocurrency market, as a Trader. This remote role, based outside the US but covering US time zones, offers exposure to the fast-paced world of HFT and opportunities to develop innovative solutions within a growing asset class. You will manage a major trading book, analyze trading data, collaborate with various teams, and liaise with exchange counterparts. The role combines trading and client interaction, working closely with the Business Development team to structure solutions for clients. Auros operates with a flat hierarchy, offering direct access to senior team members and market-leading compensation for high performers.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to work North American hours, but be based in the Americas (excluding the US), UK or Europe
• Python coding ability is mandatory
• Solid technical knowledge and an understanding of how trading algorithms work
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to collaborate with the Asia desk and work across time zones

Responsibilities

• Manage one of our major trading books, overseeing all operational and trading-related matters in real time
• Analyze trading data and market conditions to continuously seek additional sources of edge
• Work closely with other trading teams and middle-office teams to ensure proper booking and reconciliation of trades, while collaborating with the BD team to structure tailored solutions for clients
• Liaise with key exchange counterparts on margin requirements, coin borrows, trade breaks, technical issues, and market-making requirements
• Assist in improving existing trading strategies and contribute to the research and development of new strategies
• Participate in client-focused activities, working with the BD team to solve problems and help clients meet their objectives
• Research crypto projects and develop strategies on chain
• Develop models and tools to automate daily tasks
• Contribute to Trading, Defi, OTC and Ventures operations, ensuring alignment with overall business goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and dive deep into the cryptocurrency/DeFi space, strong interest and knowledge in this space is a huge plus
• Experience in HFT, with training from a Tier 1 or 2 HFT firm, or experience in a crypto-native firm, is a plus
• Familiarity with crypto side projects like running a validator, building trading bots on CeFi or DeFi, or systematic/discretionary trading is advantageous
