Requirements

  • Full-time commitment and availability
  • Expert knowledge in Natural History, particularly in taxidermy
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of CITES, the EU Birds Directive, and general nature protection laws
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to adapt and refine processes
  • Proven commercial experience with a talent for maximizing sales opportunities and engaging users
  • Familiarity with auction strategy optimization, including reserve pricing, sell-through rate, and cash flow
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency with online sales platforms
  • A reliable network of contacts within the Natural History and taxidermy communities
  • High level of professionalism and diplomacy
  • Fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and arrange lots submitted by users
  • Curate and create compelling lot listings weekly
  • Review lot titles, descriptions, and images
  • Provide users with reliable estimated values and professional advice
  • Communicate professionally and courteously if an item doesn’t meet Catawiki's standards
  • Represent Catawiki’s commercial interests
  • Strategically contribute to growing Catawiki's platform
  • Build relationships with sellers and buyers
  • Collaborate remotely within the team
  • Maintain strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Monitor auction performance, spot trends, and guide sellers

Preferred Qualifications

Additional language skills in Dutch, French, or Spanish
