Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of combined fair lending/fair banking and other related consumer compliance experience in a consumer financial services or regulatory agency
  • Must be familiar with all consumer financial protection regulations with specific focus in ECOA/Reg. B and UDAAP
  • Familiarity with fair lending analytical techniques, including but not limited to raw disparity and regression analysis
  • Superior organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
  • The ability to collaborate effectively and propose alternate solutions
  • Must work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities

  • Support and advise the business on fair lending risk in the development of new products, programs and services
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge of fair lending laws and regulations, guidance, and other legal and regulatory developments
  • Conduct thorough and detailed analyses, testing, and validation of fair lending risks
  • Perform Fair Lending monitoring and data analysis primarily through interpretation and analysis of loan level data
  • Review third party vendor’s compliance with fair lending policies, procedures, and practices
  • Review policies and procedures, and consumer facing collateral, including marketing and disclosures for UDAAP and fair lending compliance
  • Review and identify potential fair lending concerns related to consumer complaints
  • Assist the business with issue remediation, complaint resolutions and formal responses from a UDAAP and fair lending perspective
