Join SimplePractice's Finance team as a Financial Analyst and contribute to the company's budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. You will report to the Sr. Manager (Product Finance) and work closely with various departments to provide timely and accurate financial reports. The role involves creating financial models, collaborating on board presentations, and performing ad-hoc analyses. You will also work to streamline procedures, improve efficiencies, and resolve issues. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience and has a Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with experience in Analytics (SQL, Python)
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst
- Experience working with budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must show initiative, be hands-on, work well both independently on projects and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask and work through ambiguous requirements
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and work through issues at all levels within the organization
Responsibilities
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Assist with preparation of board presentations and other monthly reports
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial information
- Work side by side with accounting team on topics such as variance analysis & reporting
- Work with business unit leads to help them understand how their business is performing, provide insight and recommendations
- Perform ad hoc special analysis projects (i.e. profitability analysis of products & services, CAC, LTV, etc.), including analytics driven projects related to marketing and customer funnel
- Look for places to drive reporting and ongoing analysis automation
