Summary
Join Wave, a leading financial institution in Africa, as a Financial Analyst and contribute to our mission of making Africa cashless. You will build financial models and dashboards, work with operations leads on financial planning, and perform data analyses to support decision-making. This role requires strong financial modeling skills and experience with EPM tools. The position offers remote work options from the US, UK, Spain, or Canada, with travel opportunities to Africa and a yearly stipend. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, etc. (public accounting, transaction advisory, investment banking, strategy consulting, or other relevant fields)
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Experience with or willingness to learn EPM or FP&A tools like Pigment, Anaplan, Aleph, Mosaic, Abacum, etc
- Attention to detail β We are looking for individuals who are problem-solvers and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves to improve existing processes and implement new processes
- Comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders across the company
- Demonstrated experience owning projects independently to completion
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Create financial models to drive better decision-making
- Build dashboards and reports in our EPM tool (Pigment)
- Work with operations leads on financial planning
- Perform ad hoc financial and operational data analyses to answer questions for the finance team, operation leads, and management
- Analyze financial performance across countries and divisions to evaluate financial efficiency
- Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility
- Collaborate with internal teams to create new data resources and improve existing ones
Preferred Qualifications
- Have prior experience with financial planning systems or similar tools like Pigment, Anaplan, etc
- Have effective communication skills to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Have a proactive mindset and an eagerness to solve problems independently
- Are curious and excited about fintech in Africa
