Summary

ConnectOS is hiring a Finance Officer with at least 3 to 5 years of experience as a Finance Officer or similar role and proficiency in Xero accounting software. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Australian taxation procedures and regulations. Nice-to-have qualifications include CPA or CA certification, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The Finance Officer will manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, assist in budgeting and forecasting, generate financial reports, ensure tax compliance, utilize Xero accounting software for financial management, conduct financial analysis, provide support for audits, identify process improvements, and perform ad hoc tasks. Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Strong understanding of Australian taxation procedures and regulations

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making
• Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance
• Ensure compliance with Australian taxation procedures and regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and payments
• Utilize Xero accounting software to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and documentation
• Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required
