Financial Controller

Join our growing team in Portugal as a Junior Financial Controller! This hybrid role, based in Aveiro, supports Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities. Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related fields
• 3-5 years of experience in a finance-related role
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Prepare financial reports, track KPIs, and conduct variance analysis
• Assist in monthly and quarterly closings, including expense reviews, allocations, and performance reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with company objectives and conduct various departmental ad hoc analyses
• Own financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency while proactively identifying insights and improvement opportunities
• Engage in critical thinking, ready to challenge assumptions and drive process improvements in financial planning, reporting, and systems to enhance scalability and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish fluency is a plus
• Experience with BI tools (such as Power BI and Power Query) is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure while managing and analyzing large volumes of data accurately
