Summary

Join Fleetio's growing Accounting team as a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting Accountant. You will ensure the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of financial reporting processes, supporting internal and external reporting and month-end close activities. Collaborate with FP&A and other accounting team members. This role involves problem-solving, embracing change, and improving processes. Fleetio is a modern software platform managing fleet operations, recently raising $450M in Series D funding. The position is fully remote and offers various benefits.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in public/private accounting
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or Finance (or relevant SaaS experience)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Proven success in managing recurring accounting duties
  • Ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and implement changes collaboratively
  • Technologically savvy and comfortable using various software/tools
  • Highly motivated and ambitious
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Background check required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for Fleetio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with US GAAP
  • Support the stand-alone close of Auto Integrate, our UK-based subsidiary, including foreign currency translation, consolidation, and compliance with both US GAAP and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS); assist with the combined consolidated close process, including intercompany eliminations and consolidated reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile key general ledger accounts
  • Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle in NetSuite, from acquisition to disposal
  • Collaborate across teams, including global team members, to resolve financial reporting matters and share insights
  • Stay current on accounting standards; assess their impact and guide adoption when needed
  • Proactively identify and implement process and control improvements to enhance accuracy and reduce risk

Preferred Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing or open to pursuing CPA designation (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Experience with foreign currency is a plus
