Fire Protection Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relatable Engineering field
• 5+ years of relevant fire protection engineering experience - ideally in the design/construction space

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection engineering solutions and initiatives that support various clients and industries (commercial, residential, industrial, & more), primarily within the design and construction phases of projects
• Evaluate clients' needs acting as a point of contact
• Develop solutions using computer fire modeling
• Research and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations (NFPA)
• Review equipment sizing/P&IDs and selection
• Perform hazard analyses and risk assessments
• Complete technical reporting
• Oversee the work of junior team members
• Collaborate with other department teams and senior personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License or potential to obtain one in near future
• Knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD design and BIM 360 software
