Firmware Engineer

Summary

Join our Advanced Hardware Engineering team as an intern and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art hardware systems for autonomous mobility. You'll work alongside diverse teams to design, develop, and test compute systems, controllers, and sensors. As a firmware engineer, you'll write production-quality code, interface with electrical, mechanical, and optical engineers, and collaborate with the Perception team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C and/or C++
• Experience writing and debugging embedded software, including device drivers
• Hands-on experience with embedded development kits and/or custom PCB hardware
• Experience using oscilloscope/logic analyzer
• Professional and positive communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work alongside diverse teams to design, develop, and test compute systems, controllers, and sensors
• Write production-quality code for firmware development
• Interface with electrical, mechanical, and optical engineers designing the hardware
• Collaborate with the Perception team for sensor evaluation and the Core team for writing and bringing up hardware drivers

Benefits

• Monthly salary range: $6,500 to $9,500
