Join EquipmentShare as a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor - Collision and plan, organize, oversee, and direct collision repair of the company's transportation fleet. Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in Fleet Maintenance Supervision
- High School Degree
- Ability to negotiate at a high level, past experience in establishing body shop networks with negotiated pricing for a national fleet
- Understand comprehensive maintenance programs, track past due inspections and insure compliance to complete inspections after collision repairs are completed
- Understand collision repair estimating, ability to oversee multiple repairs in progress to ensure efficient and quality repair work
- I-CAR certification or similar automotive collision repair industry knowledge and skills
- Collision damage appraisal experience, repair estimating to develop accurate damage reports, production management skills to provide oversight of repairs in process to ensure timely communication for customer service, while delivering efficient and safe collision repair
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to acquire a CDL as necessary based on job requirements. Maintaining a valid driver’s license is a condition of employment
- Understanding of DOT commercial motor vehicle inspections and repair of braking systems as specified by DOT requirements
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule collision repair work, establish repair priorities, develop and implement programs to establish standard collision repair cost, parts and temporary replacement assets
- Manage, analyze and monitor costs of the transportation fleet
- Determine requirements for spare parts, supplies, and materials inventory
- Recommend design specifications for the Transportation Fleet trucks and trailers
- Make budget requests, analyze spend to develop fleet collision repair budget and monitor budget expenditures
- Research, catalog, check prices, order and make direct purchases of repair parts, labor rates and preferred body repair providers
- Open, update records, and close work orders
- Manage POs or Credit card payments to shops for repairs
- Work with the Maintenance side to make sure that all inspections are completed before returning to service
- Establish standards of performance and develop operating metrics for measuring contractor performance
- Provide direction for adherence to established work methods, check and direct the completion of work in progress
- Provide direction and assistance for collision repair of the company’s transportation fleet
- Establish local working relationships and develop communication tools in support of the branch goals and objectives
- Work closely with local leadership to provide a safe, reliable and cost effective fleet
- Observe and enforce safety regulations, provide status of projects and attend meetings and training sessions as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- ASE or state certifications
- Working knowledge of Brakes, Manual DriveTrain and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Heating and Air Conditioning, Electrical/ Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, Engine Repair, etc
