Flight Doctor

Summary

Join IMG, a leading international medical insurance company, as a Flight Doctor on an ad-hoc/contractor basis. We are seeking experienced and highly skilled physicians to join our team of flight nurses and doctors. The role involves aeromedical retrievals and patient repatriation. Successful candidates will possess a GMC license, significant post-registration experience in acute care, and experience in aeromedical retrievals. Requirements

• Be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice
• Have 4 years post registration experience with at least 2 years in an acute field such as ICU/A&E or pre-hospital roles
• Have experience in aeromedical retrievals
• Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and with confidence
• Have experience of professional or personal international travel
• Be dynamic and adaptable in response to the unpredictability of international patient transfer
• Demonstrate an understanding of normal anatomy & physiology and the impact of disease, illness, injury & stresses of flight on the patient
• Hold a full right to work in the United Kingdom

Preferred Qualifications

Have studied or be working towards CCAT course or other aeromedical retrieval course
