Founding Software Engineer

Join Thera, a platform for remote startups managing their workforce, as a full-stack engineer. We are backed by leading investors and are seeking a strong engineer to lead full-stack development, combine in-house and third-party APIs to build an HR platform, define engineering culture, and collaborate with the CTO and CEO. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, proactive, and experienced with React.js, NextJS, Kotlin, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks. They should be product-minded and enjoy working in a fast-paced startup environment. The role offers the opportunity to shape the future of HR technology and grow with a scaling company.

Requirements

• Fast learner: you are proactive and able to pick up new things quickly
• Builder: you have experience working with React.js, NextJS, Kotlin, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks
• Product minded: you genuinely want to build something people want, you enjoy talking to users and learning their needs

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack development
• Combine in-house and 3rd party API provider functionality to build holistic HR platform
• Define our engineering culture and best practices from the ground up
• Collaborate closely with our CTO and CEO and directly impact product roadmap

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years software engineering experience
• Previous experience in payroll / HR tech
• Previous experience building and deploying on AWS
• Previous experience at high-growth, fast-paced startups
