Summary

Join CS Group USA and work on complex high-tech aerospace or naval systems for prestigious manufacturers. The role involves DO-254 Complex Electronic Hardware projects, encompassing real-time embedded and safety-critical FPGA design, development, and testing. Work includes the full lifecycle, from requirements to testing, and can be onsite, hybrid, or fully remote. You will engage with customers, execute project plans, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with various engineering teams. Understanding of regulatory compliance standards is crucial, and proficiency in HDL and Python is required. The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience.

Requirements

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance standards
  • Demonstrate proficiency with HDL (such as VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog) to develop design based on requirements
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Python
  • Able to develop verification strategies and tests for both simulation and target testing
  • Understanding of Simulation Bench Testing along with Hardware In the Loop (HIL) Testing
  • Thorough understanding of development lifecycles to mitigate risks during development phases
  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
  • CPLD / FPGA experience, Embedded systems experience
  • Accepting a range of experience 3+ years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with internal teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and lead work packages

Responsibilities

  • Be involved in DO-254 Complex Electronic Hardware projects ranging from: real-time embedded & safety-critical FPGA design, development, and testing
  • Full Lifecycle work from receiving system requirements down through simulation testing and target testing
  • Engage directly with customers to resolve technical or logistical issues
  • Independently execute according to project plans
  • Provide technical guidance to team members, ensuring alignment with quality objectives and drive results through leadership and collaboration
  • Effectively and timely communicate with project team and leadership to enable quick issue resolution
  • Collaboratively work with software, quality, design, and test engineers throughout all phases of the product development lifecycle, from idea and conceptualization, through requirements, design, development, and testing
  • Design, development, analysis, evaluation, simulation, verification, integration/test of Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) such as Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and other CPLDs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to create reliable project plans
  • Handle blank sheet development based on general system requirements
  • Understanding of Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
  • Experience in software (DO-178C)
  • Ability to also work directly with PCBs/CBAs
  • Experience with System On a Chip (SOC) architecture
  • Preference if located in the Hartford area
