Job description

As an intern on the Advanced Hardware Engineering DSP FPGA team, you’ll be working alongside those who architect, design, and develop our state-of-the-art hardware and signal processing systems required for enabling autonomous mobility. At Zoox, you’ll collaborate with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds in areas such as AI, robotics, machine learning, localization, computer vision, and simulation. You’ll master new technologies while working on code, algorithms, and research in your area of expertise to create and refine key systems and move Zoox forward.

As an intern on the FPGA team, you will be designing, implementing, and testing custom FPGA-based systems used for module command/control, digital signal processing, and sensor emulation. This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineer to get a full top-to-bottom understanding of embedded systems and their impacts on vehicle performance and safety.

Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements

  • Experience in SystemVerilog or VHDL
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
  • Coursework in FPGA Design, Digital Logic Design, Computer Architecture, VLSI, or Embedded Systems.
  • Experience designing and validating FPGA-based systems
  • Experience in creating unit-level tests

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
