Join a leading national equipment finance firm as a Franchise Commercial Credit Analyst and contribute to their franchise lending initiatives. You will be a vital member of the credit team, evaluating new opportunities, assessing risk, and ensuring sound underwriting. Responsibilities include analyzing creditworthiness of applicants, performing due diligence, collaborating with other teams to structure deals, preparing credit memos, maintaining understanding of franchise models, ensuring alignment with company policies, and monitoring funded accounts. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 2–5 years of commercial credit analysis experience (ideally in equipment finance or franchise lending), strong knowledge of financial statements and lending compliance, and excellent communication skills. Preferred attributes include prior exposure to the franchise finance industry and experience with specific credit platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 2–5 years of commercial credit analysis experience, ideally in equipment finance or franchise lending
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, credit scoring models, and lending compliance standards
- Familiarity with small-ticket commercial credit underwriting and structured finance solutions
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced underwriting environment
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to contribute to a high-performing, mission-driven team
Responsibilities
- Analyze creditworthiness of franchisees and small business applicants through financial statement review, cash flow analysis, and risk modeling
- Perform due diligence on business and personal credit history, debt servicing ability, and overall borrower health
- Collaborate with originators, underwriters, and legal teams to structure franchise equipment financing deals
- Prepare detailed credit memos with recommendations for approval/decline, addressing both financial and non-financial risk factors
- Maintain a strong understanding of franchise operating models and unit economics
- Ensure credit decisions are aligned with company policies, portfolio goals, and risk appetite
- Engage in ongoing monitoring of funded accounts, tracking performance and early warning signs
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to the franchise finance industry or direct experience underwriting franchise brands
- Understanding of small business lending regulations and secured equipment finance structures
- Experience with LOS/Credit platforms such as Salesforce, Moody’s RiskCalc, or CreditLens
