Summary
Join Bitso as a Fraud Analytics Sr Specialist and leverage data-driven techniques to monitor, detect, and prevent platform abuse. You will bring analytical expertise to the Fraud Prevention team, shaping data-driven fraud detection strategies, owning fraud prevention metrics, identifying fraud behaviors, and fostering new technologies and process improvements. This role reports to the Fraud Prevention Manager and requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3+ years of data analytics experience (preferably in e-commerce, technology, or finance), and 1+ year of hands-on fraud prevention experience. Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python/R are essential. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within e-commerce, technology, or financial industries
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a fraud prevention role
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python and/or R
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Responsibilities
- Monitor and communicate Fraud KPIs and trends through dashboards and reports
- Identify fraud patterns and build user and transactional profiles using analytical tools
- Conduct analysis to design and calibrate fraud detection models and rules
- Lead and execute data-driven projects within the Fraud Prevention team to support strategic objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Spark or other big data technologies is a plus
- Experience with version control (GitHub) is a plus
