Fraud Operations Investigator II

Summary

Join Affirm's Fraud Operations Team as a Fraud Investigator! You will review suspicious account activities, diagnose issues, identify fraud links, and collaborate with the Customer Operations team to resolve complaints. This role requires identifying fraud trends, improving procedures, influencing risk model development, and managing independent projects. You will also monitor SLAs, support vendors, and identify procedural gaps. Requirements

• Demonstrated project management skills
• Ability to meet or exceed daily case count expectations
• Fraud Investigations and/or detection experience
• Motivated to learn new work types as needed
• Experience supporting vendor teams
• Focused, self-motivated and reliable with ability to stay focused on a task and work independently
• Possesses a positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and build solid working relationships with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing workload and circumstances effectively as well as respond to new information quickly

Responsibilities

• Regularly review suspicious account activities, diagnose account issues, and identify links to deter fraud attacks
• Work collaboratively with our Customer Operations team to resolve incoming customer complaints
• Identify trends and provide insight on new fraud behavior and fraud methods
• Identity areas of opportunity to improve procedures, processes, and tools
• Influence development of new risk models and review procedures
• Take on independent projects to improve team performance or efficiency
• Monitor SLAs on regular basis to ensure compliance
• Support vendors by answering escalations and doing trainings when requested
• Identify procedural gaps and provide subject matter expertise to shared services as needed
