Summary

The job is for a freelance game writer to contribute high-quality guides for Genshin Impact and other HoYoverse titles at Destructoid's remote and international newsroom. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge about Genshin Impact, stays up-to-date on all things HoYoverse, is a self-starter who can confidently pitch trending ideas, meets deadlines for publishing stories, and has good communication habits. Preferred qualifications include at least 1-2 years of prior game writing experience, deep knowledge of video games and their related communities, excitement, dedication, and the ability to pivot when needed.

Requirements

• Follow trending topics and stay up-to-date on all things HoYoverse
• Be a self starter who can confidently pitch trending ideas
• Meet deadlines for publishing stories
• Have good communication habits

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality game guides for Genshin Impact and additional HoYoverse titles
• Contribute in-depth guides, listicles, rankings, and breaking news about Genshin Impact and related topics within the community

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of prior game writing experience (with Trello and WordPress training)
• Deep knowledge of video games and their related communities
• Excitement, dedication, and an ability to pivot when needed
