Freelance Mid-Weight Graphic Designer

Summary

Join Canva's team of freelancers and help redefine how the world experiences design. Work remotely from anywhere in the world, creating high-quality, market-bespoke content for German users. You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of design assets, including logos, posters, videos, and social media content. This is a 12-month, part-time freelance opportunity. The role requires experience in graphic, brand, or visual design, with a portfolio showcasing your skills. Requirements

• Have experience as a Graphic, Brand or Visual Designer creating a diverse range of digital and print marketing materials
• Have experience in and a love for design trends and styles that are specific to Germany
• Have a portfolio demonstrating your passion for designing clean, elegant, and beautiful designs
• Have advanced design sense and mastery of hand illustration, typography, color, conceptual graphic design, and layout creation
• Have a keen understanding of design based on visual, cultural, and popular trends
• Have a strong stylistic approach, and a strong foundation in what makes a good design
• Design with the end user’s needs in mind
• Deliver great designs, on deadline and to brief

Responsibilities

• Create a range of fresh, varied and beautiful designs for our German users
• Create unique concepts for beautiful templates on various themes and topics that are specific to Germany
• Create design assets such as illustrations and design elements to make the templates shine
• Suggest fresh design styles and creative directions that suit our users’ needs
• Create a multitude of Canva assets including logos, posters, videos, presentations, Instagram stories, social media content (video and static), book covers, banners (video and static) and editorial content for your locale
• Oversee the end-to-end production rollout of the content library for this specific market
