Freelance Motion Graphic Designer, Remote - Canada

Summary

The job is for a Freelance Motion Graphic Designer at Woodbine Entertainment Group. The role involves building the online footprint of various verticals, including horse racing, wagering, hospitality, and entertainment offerings. The designer will work to grow reach and bring critical thinking to daily content and broadcast output.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of broadcast production, social media production, community management, and using social media platforms as tools to drive revenue and build brand
• Possess a combination of creative and technical skills with hands on abilities in Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience in producing graphic content for various digital platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently to identify and complete work goals

Responsibilities

• Drive corporate business objectives through creative graphic design
• Create and edit both still and motion graphics for Woodbine’s social media channels, website and broadcast properties
• Work alongside Creative Production & Design Manager to conceptualize and create original content for Woodbine’s social media platforms, Network broadcasts, simulcasts and other broadcast properties
• Collaborate with other business functions to create innovative and highly-integrated social programming, content or initiatives to further company-wide promotions at on and off-track events and deliver successful partnership experiences
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines and meet strong quality assurance expectations

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic ability to edit social video is an asset but not a necessity
• Knowledge of horse racing and wagering is a significant asset but not a necessity
