Freelance Subtitling Translator/Proofreader

Summary

Pixelogic Media is seeking experienced Korean-into-Japanese subtitling translators and QCers to establish a professional team for their language services department, focusing on servicing clients' end-to-end projects in the APAC region. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with time flexibility.

Requirements

• Korean/Japanese bilingual
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of other languages is an asset
• Minimum of 2 years of translation and/or proofreading experience required
• Knowledge of SSTG1Pro subtitling software (CANVASs) is highly desirable
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have demonstrated ability to accomplish work on a rigorous schedule (on-time delivery and flexible working hours)
• Ability to follow technical / style guide for multiple client content types

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of subtitle file creation, depending on assignment, whether Conforming, Timing and Spotting, Translating or Proofreading/QC’ing of subtitle files using SSTG1Pro subtitling software and/or Pixelogic proprietary cloud based subtitling software

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of other languages is an asset
