Summary

The Escapist is seeking new and experienced writers to contribute to their video game and entertainment coverage. This is a fully remote contract position with preference given to those with knowledge about the key focuses: MMORPGs, YouTubers & Streamers, Netflix Series & Movies.

Requirements

  • Excellent English language writing skills
  • Eagerness to learn and incorporate feedback
  • Ability to complete pieces in a timely manner and pitch trending ideas
  • A love of games, TV, and/or movies
  • Weekend availability

Responsibilities

Contribute to The Escapist's video game and entertainment coverage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Google Trends
  • Experience writing SEO

Benefits

Pay range: $15 to $75 USD per article, depending on length & type. Rates may differ for international candidates based on location
