Front End Developer - WebGL

Summary

Join IOG, a blockchain technology company, as a Front End Developer (WebGL) to lead the development of interactive web assets. You will be involved in the entire process, from ideation and prototyping to final product development. Collaborate with the Creative Director and Head of Web Development to showcase IOG's work. Responsibilities include working with stakeholders, producing prototypes, establishing best practices, optimizing code, and acting as a technical point of contact. You will ensure builds comply with test cases and collaborate with the Web Development team. The role requires expertise in WebGL, Three.JS, Javascript, Typescript, and related technologies. Requirements

• Experience and demonstrable examples of working with visually refined and integrated WebGL experiences
• Completion of a relevant degree such as Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Experience with React
• Experience with Tailwind CSS
• Expert level knowledge of WebGL and Three.JS
• Expert level understanding of Javascript and Typescript
• Strong knowledge of performance testing features within modern browsers
• Strong knowledge of JS ecosystem, such as NPM, Node JS, and Jamstack
• Well versed with Git workflows
• Proficient in cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and how to build responsive, mobile first layouts
• Capable of thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments—adept at managing shifting priorities and consistently meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members
• Composed and focused under pressure, with a thoughtful and methodical approach to high-stakes problem solving
• Basic knowledge of image and design editing tools e.g. Figma
• Self-motivated, independent thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to validate specifications and provide estimates
• Take an active role in the ideation of creative projects to market IOG and associated products
• Produce prototypes to validate concepts and feasibility of design ideas
• Establish best practices for writing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code, ensuring consistency across the team
• Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability
• High quality standards and a focus on accuracy towards the design vision
• Act as the technical point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring that development efforts align with business goals, UX/UI standards, and content strategy
• Working with QA function to ensure builds are compliant with agreed test cases & standards
• Implementation of project deliverables to agree upon deadlines
• Collaboration with the rest of the Web Development team to share best practices & assist with project delivery
• Usage of work tracking software (Jira, Slack)
