Summary

The job is for a Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain web applications using Next.js, Material UI, and Web3 technologies in a 3-6 month contract role at a company specializing in the web3 ecosystem. The role requires strong understanding of Web3, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), and optionally Solana and Near blockchain ecosystems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a frontend developer shipping and maintaining web apps in production
• English is your native language
• Solid experience in frontend development using Next.js and Material UI
• Proficiency in Web3 technologies and frameworks, including interacting with smart contracts, wallets, and blockchain data on EVM-based blockchains like Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon. and NEAR blockchain
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and frontend/backend integration
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, proactiveness, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai) and frontend testing methodologies

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive and performant frontend applications using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Material UI
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to bring their concepts to life
• Implement efficient and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
• Leverage expertise in Web3 technologies to integrate blockchain functionalities
• Optimize page loading times and rendering efficiency
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility by testing and adapting frontend code
• Proactively conduct usability and regression testing during development
• Implement security best practices to protect against common web application vulnerabilities
• Collaborate effectively with backend developers, designers, and other cross-functional teams
• Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend development trends, tools, and techniques

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Solana blockchain ecosystem is a plus
