Frontend Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Frontend Engineer at LayerZero, a cross-chain blockchain interoperability company funded by top investors. The role involves designing and implementing web applications that push the boundaries of web3 technologies. The engineer will architect and design core product features, help build performant backend systems, mentor team members, collaborate with other teams, prioritize projects, and have a deep knowledge of web technologies.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of web technologies and large-scale web application architectures
• Familiarity with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security, and usability
• 4+ years of industry experience building scalable and performant production UIs and APIs using a stack similar but not limited to React, Typescript, AWS and Elasticsearch

Responsibilities

• Architect and design core product features from start to finish
• Help architect and build performant backend systems for serving our core marketplace features
• Think holistically about how parts of our systems fit together from the UX to the underlying APIs and data models
• Mentor and train other team members on best practices and approaching large ambiguous problems
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to prioritize, scope, and architect new features
• Prioritize projects and tasks based on impact; balancing moving fast and building for the long haul

• You enjoy working across Engineering and Design to build user friendly applications

Benefits

• The base salary for this position ranges from $120,000/year up to $200,000/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
• LayerZero is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits
