Frontend Software Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Frontend Software Engineering Contractor based in Argentina or Mexico! You will serve as the technical contact for front-end concerns, collaborating with leadership on technical strategy and project scoping. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality of front-end pull requests, conducting thorough reviews, and working with team managers on ticket scoping. You'll leverage your expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React or Next.js to build complex web applications. This contract role offers remote work flexibility but does not include company-sponsored benefits.

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of experience with frontend software development experience
• Have demonstrated success in building complex web applications with simple, elegant, and maintainable solutions
• Be able to leverage your experience in Javascript, Typescript, semantic HTML, responsive CSS, and either React or Next.js to find the right solution to meet your team’s goals
• Have experience with modern web standards, responsive design, and web accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.0+)
• Not only provide the technical expertise in the design and implementation of the solution, but collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure potential risks and challenges are identified and resolved throughout the development process

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical contact for Front End concerns within your team and for your space (the code area owned by the team)
• Work with the team's leadership helping balance technical concerns with long-term strategy, front-end requirements, and cross-functional needs
• Involved in the earliest stages of each project working with team leadership to help with technical scoping and technical discovery
• Responsible for the quality of Front End PR’s on your team: thorough checks, title and summaries, and technical review - helping cultivate a robust technical review culture within the team
• Work with team leadership to critically and technically review all PRs and broaden round-robin reviews to empower review growth across the team
• Work with team managers to ensure technical tickets are scoped appropriately and well communicated and match the technical designs agreed upon

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with Node JS and Express
• Have experience with web accessibility guidelines, Node.js, or AWS
