Front-End Software Engineer Intern

Summary

Join Glassdoor's Registration team as a Software Engineering Intern and contribute to building products and features that enhance user experience. You will work on features that help millions of professionals discover, register, and onboard onto the platform. The internship involves developing and iterating on community onboarding and content contribution flows, including surveys for salaries, reviews, interviews, and benefits. This is a 12-week, fully remote, paid internship program with opportunities for in-person connections with fellow interns. The program offers flexible hours and the chance to gain experience in agile methodologies and rapid development.

Requirements

• Knowledge of both OOP and functional programming and design patterns
• Experience developing in Node.js and React.js, with an excellent understanding of JavaScript fundamentals
• Quick learner, self-motivated to grow

Responsibilities

• Help build features that our users love to use
• Solve engineering problems, small and large
• Take end-to-end ownership of features by writing well-written, maintainable code supported by unit tests
• Work closely with your Technical Lead and Product owner to help clarify requirements and accurately define expectation
• Participate in planning sessions and other team meetings
• Gain working experience in agile methodologies and rapid development

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in Next.js, TypeScript and GraphQL
• Past experience building web applications and/or web services
