Front-End Web Developer

Summary

Join Hitachi Vantara, a leading data infrastructure provider, as a Junior Front-End Developer on the Corporate Marketing team. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of HitachiVantara.com, focusing on creating high-quality user experiences. This role involves collaborating with designers and the Senior Lead Front-End Developer to implement and optimize front-end solutions within AEM. Responsibilities include coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining AEM components. The ideal candidate possesses 1-3 years of front-end development experience, proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a basic understanding of AEM. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating user-friendly interfaces are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years of experience in front-end web development
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Basic understanding of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS platforms
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating excellent user experiences
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies

Responsibilities

• Assist in front-end development tasks, including coding, testing, and debugging, under the guidance of the Senior Lead Front-End Developer
• Implement and maintain components, templates, and other front-end elements in AEM
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate visual designs and wireframes into engaging, interactive, and visually appealing front-end components within AEM, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across all devices
• Contribute to the testing and QA process to ensure high-quality, error-free releases
• Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Basic knowledge of web accessibility standards
• Exposure to agile development methodologies
