Frontend/Fullstack Engineer

Summary

Join Linqia as a long-term contractor Frontend/Fullstack Engineer working remotely from the Medellin, Colombia area. You will be responsible for implementing new user-facing features on the Linqia platform, translating conceptual ideas into engaging user experiences, and collaborating with various teams. This role requires a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, strong JavaScript skills, experience with Vue.js and other relevant technologies, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical area of study or equivalent practical experience
• Web Development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript with TypeScript, Vue.js, Vuex, and Webpack
• Strong JavaScript skills, with development experience in scripting languages such as Python
• Front-end experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with Git and Github
• Good understanding of Relational Databases/REST API(s)

Responsibilities

• Implement new user-facing features in the Linqia Platform
• Translate conceptual ideas (business needs and user goals) into intuitive and engaging experiences
• Collaborate with back-end, product, design, and QA teams on a daily basis to define UI and UX strategy and to ensure a smooth user experience
• Write thoroughly tested features, actively participate in code reviews, and take ownership of the code base

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in CS or further education or experience in computer science or another technical related field
• Experience working in AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency in building microservices with Python
