Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Join dbt Labs' AI team as a Full Stack Engineer to build AI-powered features for dbt Cloud. You will collaborate with product development teams, contribute to backend development and LLM-related projects, and advocate for best practices. The ideal candidate possesses strong OOP fundamentals (preferably Python), experience with modern front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, or JavaScript), and excellent communication skills. Requirements

• Have strong fundamentals in an OOP software development language, preferably Python
• Are comfortable managing ambiguity and driving clarity and innovation within teams
• Understand how to make tradeoffs to ship useful features today without sacrificing long-term quality
• Are highly motivated and able to build alignment across stakeholders
• Have experience in modern front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, or JavaScript
• Proficiency in reading and writing English, with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Be part of a small, innovative team to build AI-powered, customer-facing features in dbt Cloud
• Contribute to backend development and LLM-related projects such as sending requests to LLMs, logging responses, and building evaluation tools
• Collaborate closely with other teams to identify areas where AI can benefit the application
• Advocate for best practices in frontend & backend development and ensure that all code is well-structured, maintainable, and tested

Preferred Qualifications

Have experience in working with LLMs, integration with LLMs and LLM responses
