Full Stack Engineer
Polychain Capital
Summary
Join Polychain as a Full Stack Engineer, Multichain Trading & Observability, and play a crucial role in developing groundbreaking infrastructure for institutional access to liquid markets. You will build a comprehensive software suite for secure token acquisition (onchain and offchain), robust controls, and real-time portfolio visualization and monitoring. This involves front-end development of intuitive UIs for trading, portfolio dashboards, and risk management, as well as back-end development of APIs for order execution, risk checks, and chain abstraction. You will also design secure cloud-based infrastructure and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in modern backend and front-end technologies, blockchain, and financial risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science
- Expert-level experience with modern backend technologies (GO, node.js, Python)
- Full stack proficiency with front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Proven track record of working with Ethereum and other L1s with a demonstrated understanding of DEX and aggregator architecture and familiarity with cross-chain bridging
- Strong experience with designing REST/GraphQL APIs and integrating with third-party services
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL database, real-time data streaming and event driven architectures
- Strong understanding of cryptographic primitives around key management lifecycle
- Security first mindset in building systems that are secure by design and secure by default
- Familiarity with modern clouds (GCP, AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, logging and observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, AWS Cloud watch)
- Familiarity with smart contracts
Responsibilities
- Build intuitive and performant UI components for quick trade execution
- Build intuitive and performant UI components for portfolio dashboards for real-time PnL data
- Build intuitive and performant UI components for risk management tools for setting robust controls
- Build intuitive and performant UI components for real time alerting for risk breaches, market volatility or position concentration
- Interact with the Ethereum ecosystem (L1 & L2)
- Interact with other major L1s
- Implement dynamic charts, heat maps and real-time PnL reporting, transaction history, and risk metrics
- Develop APIs and services to communicate with CEXs, DEXs, and aggregators enabling advanced order types and rapid execution
- Develop APIs to inform optimal trading avenues based on real-time market metrics
- Develop APIs for chain abstraction to implement uniform interfaces that allow for seamless execution across multiple networks
- Enforce pre-trade risk checks at a transaction level
- Verify smart contract code and interactions where necessary to avoid faulty or malicious execution paths
- Enable Risk Managers and Analysts to automate partial or full position exits based on predefined triggers
- Record a transparent audit trail for every trade, deposit, withdrawal, and bridging event, accessible in real time by Risk and Portfolio Managers
- Build robust monitoring systems that trigger alerts on order failures, missed confirmations, or unusual trade flows, facilitating quick incident response by both the Portfolio Manager and the Security team
- Build granular PnL dashboards with the ability to view metrics for any analyst, chain, or wallet address
- Design cloud-based, containerized infrastructure with an emphasis on secure software development
