Full Stack Software Development Engineer

Summary

Join GoDaddy's Partners Experience team as a Full Stack Software Development Engineer! This remote position offers the opportunity to work on end-to-end features, building intuitive and powerful user experiences for millions of customers. You will maintain and modernize Java services, leveraging modern technologies like NodeJS, TypeScript, and ReactJS deployed on AWS. Your responsibilities include improving application architecture, security, and observability. Requirements

• Proven experience developing full-stack applications and working with both frontend and backend technologies
• Proficient in: Java, TypeScript NodeJS (Typescript), ReactJS – deployed to AWS
• Able to maintain JVM based deployments (some of our roles call for JavaScript)
• Cloud Expertise: Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms like AWS
• Strong understanding of building fault tolerant systems (observability practices, operational excellence)
• Knowledge/Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Responsibilities

• Maintain our Java services that enable team to execute AI tasks with high scalability
• Modernise the application stack to simplify architecture using modern technology choices: NodeJS (Typescript), ReactJS – deployed to AWS
• Maintenance will include strengthening our security posture, creating fault tolerance, improving observability and managing release pipelines
• Work with product management team and Hub engineering team to leverage existing capabilities from other teams (Hub, Security, Hosting), improving the user interface and workflows within the application and providing new capabilities
• Improve the observability of our production services, allowing the team to quickly highlight gaps, resolve issues, and understand the performance of our systems
• Lead by example with a high standard for coding practices, including practical coding standards, modern software development approaches, test automation, and a strong focus on security
• Engage with engineers and partners across the organization to solve problems with broad impact, stay ahead of the curve with new technologies, and advocate for modern and effective tech stack

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple JavaScript tooling libraries, including using webpack to ship production-ready software
• Used infrastructure tooling like GitHub Actions
