Summary

Join Regen Network, a company revolutionizing environmental interaction through a global platform for planetary stewardship. We are seeking an experienced full-stack or front-end engineer to contribute to our web application (app.regen.network), creating user experiences for farmers, land stewards, and buyers. This remote position offers a four-day work week and flexible work environment. You will build and maintain web applications using cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with product and design teams, and contribute to key features in our product roadmap. The ideal candidate thrives in remote work environments, enjoys complex technical challenges, and is passionate about fighting climate change. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years professional front-end and/or full stack development experience
  • Be comfortable working across any part of our web application stack - in particular React, CSS, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
  • Good written communication in English

Responsibilities

  • Join a small and agile team building our web based application (app.regen.network), to create user experiences for farmers, land stewards, and the buyers funding next-gen climate solutions
  • Build and maintain web applications using state of the art technologies (React + Typescript + GraphQL with a Node and PostgreSQL backend is our current stack)
  • Write reusable components
  • Ensure solid test coverage
  • Actively participate in code reviews
  • Build Node services that serve as a gateway to our decentralized ecosystem, and expose REST or GraphQL APIs for our front end applications to access data
  • Work closely with our product & design team, building out key features in our product roadmap such as: Implementing organization management systems with advanced permission settings to support multi-stakeholder contributions
  • Building integrations between our L1 blockchain, Regen Ledger, and web application to display verified ecological impact data about the projects and credits issued on the network
  • Create interoperability solutions with partner platforms and other applications in ecological monitoring & data management space
  • Enhance our project page “data feed” with improved data visualization and reporting capabilities to allow project developers to publish relevant data and ecological claims to their profile
  • Improve usability of our app’s blockchain functionality for users logged in with email & SSO accounts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dApp/Web3 development, in particular integrating with Cosmos SDK blockchains
  • Experience with Node.js, Express and PostgreSQL
  • Experience working closely with design & product teams following agile methodologies, but can be comfortable taking initiative and organizing your own work
  • Having a keen eye for detail when it comes to implementing visual components
  • Mobile-first / responsive design is a priority
  • Enjoy learning and digging into open source code, committing on other projects
  • Previous experience working remotely and/or leading teams
  • Thrive in remote, self-directed work environments and can collaborate effectively across multiple time zones
  • Enjoy tackling complex technical challenges and can break them down into manageable solutions
  • Excited about joining a team with a strong culture of self reflection and capacity building — we take a lot of inspiration from Carol Sanford’s Regenerative Business work
  • Passionate about fighting climate change and other environmental problems — knowledge of permaculture, regenerative agriculture, or ecology is a bonus
  • Applicants in European or US time zones (where the tech team currently is located) to allow for good communication, and minimal scheduling issues
