Fullstack Engineer

Summary

Join Fortify, a modern student financing company, as a full-stack engineer. You will build Fortify's core financing platform, have significant autonomy over new products, and own major launches. Work on a small team with opportunities to contribute to design and product work. Help expand access to education and promote economic mobility. You'll work on projects such as building a financial aid tool, improving the online financing application, and creating tools to promote financial literacy. Fortify is backed by Pear VC and offers a unique opportunity to learn about lending, capital markets, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Build Fortify's core financing platform
• Own major launches
• Contribute to design and product work
• Help expand access to education and promote economic mobility
• Own the architecture and launch of an entire new product, such as a financial aid tool to help students more easily apply for federal aid (FAFSA) or state aid
• Work on our online financing application for students who need loans, scholarships, or aid to make their experience smoother
• Build tools to help promote financial literacy for our students or to help them find job opportunities more easily after they graduate

Preferred Qualifications

• Have significant ownership over production code at a tech startup
• Have outstanding written communication skills and enjoy product work as well as coding
• Be excited about fintech and working on critical code that processes and moves money
• Have experience with our tech stack: React, Python, and Postgres
