Requirements

• +5 years of experience in platform engineering or cloud infrastructure (GCP)
• Strong expertise in application containerization (Docker, container security, optimization)
• Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration and Helm package management
• Proven track record of successful application migration projects
• Experience with database administration and migration (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency in Python, C, and Java programming languages
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows environments
• Demonstrated expertise with web servers (Tomcat, Apache)
• Strong background in API integration and development (REST, SOAP)
• Experience with database connectors and optimization techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
• Self-motivated learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
• Work from EU and a work permit to work from EU are required

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute application migrations to GCP - containerizing and deploying to the GCP cloud (Kubernetes, VMs)
• Lead migration initiatives from on-premises systems to modern cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal service disruption
• Architect and execute live update strategies, managing planned downtimes with minimal business impact
• Manage multi-platform environments spanning Linux, Unix, and Windows systems
• Implement automated deployment pipelines for continuous delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of authentication systems (SSO, LDAP) implementation
• Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments
• Background in zero-downtime deployment strategies
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
