Join Everly Health as their Genetics Lead, a contract 1099 position requiring 10-20 hours per week. Requirements

  • Board certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)
  • Master's Degree in Genetics or a related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in a patient-facing clinical setting
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Self-motivated; strong organizational and time management skills
  • Tech-savvy, forward-thinking mindset
  • Exhibits and drives a strong commitment to outstanding patient care, demonstrating both assertiveness and flexibility when appropriate
  • Comfortable in highly dynamic environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond in a timely manner to inquiries
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; strong attention to detail
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to using new tools and apps, such as Jira, Slack, and Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent applications required

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and improve educational materials to support genetic counselors
  • Evaluate and improve the efficiency of the department operations and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output
  • Develop and maintain clinical protocols, report and letter templates for documenting patient consults, and clinical forms (intake forms, questionnaires, etc.)
  • Respond to clinical inquiries from patients and providers raised by front-line patient coordinators
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert (SME) on clinical best practice and clinical requirements, within the field of genetics and genetic counseling
  • Interface with prospective and existing clients (laboratories, provider organizations, payers, etc.) to evaluate whether prospective clients offer tests with sufficient clinical and analytical validity to warrant our partnership, ensure that Everly Health Solutions oversight services are understood and protocols and standards are implemented
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • As needed, help hire, manage, support and train network of genetic counselors
