Requirements

• Provide expertise in the process of geocoding, the resolution of geocoding problems, and the proper use of geocoding in public health practice and research to georeferenced health data
• Apply extensive knowledge and experience with software products such as Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Google (Maps, Google Earth), and Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). POWERBI required
• Develop and design import and validation methodologies to import datasets in a variety of formats
• Monitor GIS database back-ups and other time-based routines and/or automated procedures
• Manage, prepare, and structure GIS data

Responsibilities

• Provide GIS consulting, advice, and technical expertise
• Organize, manage, prepare, and use GIS data for effective analysis, mapping, reporting, and visualization
• Generate and collate project requirements, status reports, other metrics and/or required reports
• Identify geostatistical approaches to best examine problems associated with population mobility and border health topics
• Analyze geospatial and temporal patterns and trends evident in health outcome data using analytic methods available within the ArcGIS Suite of products (ESRI, Inc.), SaTScan (SatScan.org), R, and other GIS analysis, GIS data manipulation, and map production tools
• Produce static and interactive cartographic products using ArcGIS (ESRI, Inc.) and other tools to communicate complex patterns, trends, and concepts
