GIS Analyst Programmer Junior

Summary

The client is seeking a GIS Technician to assist with creating, updating, and maintaining foundational datasets within their GIS program. The Vector Property Map (VPM) and Master Address Repository (MAR) are critical data layers used by city planners, community development, infrastructure maintenance, land research, business development, public safety operations, and more.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, Planning or related field or equivalent experience
• Certified GIS Professional (GISP) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and supports enterprise complex projects
• Interfaces with other offices; consults with and inform user departments on system requirements; and resolves problems and operating difficulties for the current and future enhancements to District’s system

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to propose new tools and methods for improving business processes
• Effective communication, both orally and in writing
