Requirements
- As a GIS technician you will have experience and knowledge of using GIS systems, seeking an opportunity to utilise and develop your career in a fast paced business
- Some working knowledge of one (or more) in GE Smallworld, PNI, ArcGIS Desktop, QGIS or FME
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to collaborate and work with a variety of different teams across the business
- A degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field with an environmental focus
Responsibilities
- Using GIS technology, you will be producing data from a variety of sources, analysing and studying your findings
- You'll prepare the design packs for use in the construction phase of the project, ensuring consistent standards are met across the business for all design and as-build documentation
- General administration of the GIS system data and maintaining the asset data in a centralised system
- Effectively applying our design methodology ensuring we are enforcing department and company standards
- Designing of various networks in a GIS environment
