Remote Git Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

Join ReadMe, a diverse and inclusive workplace, as a Git Infrastructure Engineer to own and build out the infrastructure of their content data stored in a Git storage system. Requirements

• Excited about working with and optimizing a large amount of data!
• Familiar with Typescript, since Gitto is built with JS
• Experienced with AWS (EC2 / EFS / Load Balancing at the very least) and feel comfortable building out infrastructure on top of them
• Knowledgeable about Terraform
• Passionate about making products people love

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of our new Git infrastructure
• Create backups (per repo and larger)
• Improve deployment of the codebase
• Unblock scaling issues as they come up
• Care about security and SOC2 compliance
• Come up with ideas around what ReadMe’s broader infrastructure should look like, and communicate them to your coworkers
• Collaborate with other engineers and people around ReadMe. You’ll be fairly autonomous in this role, but you won’t be on an island! You’ll support and be supported by your coworkers
