Golang Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Kiln's Software Team as a Backend Engineer to build the future of SaaS/API-first products, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager and collaborating with other teams.

Requirements

• +3 years of experience as Software Engineer (Backend)
• +1 year of Golang programming. — professional experience in a production environment
• Familiar with container/orchestrator technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and Continuous Integration
• Ability to ship opinionated architectural choices and code, and to share software best practices
• Proven interest in Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency. and smart contracts - check our Tech Blog [ https://www.kiln.fi/blog ] and Open-Source Contribution [ https://www.kiln.fi/open-source ]
• Fluent (written and spoken) in both. French. and English

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
• Develop and implement software features in our Golang services (data aggregators, APIs, Blockchain Transaction crafting, ...)
• Take part in automation, testing, and CI/CD processes
• Participate in code review, bug fixing, code maintenance
• Ensure that our services communicate with each other seamlessly, have minimal downtime, and recover quickly
• Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company)
• Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices
• Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges
