Summary
Join Kiln as a Senior Backend Engineer and contribute to the development of our SaaS/API-first products. You will work with a team of 14 engineers, collaborating on architectural decisions, software development using Golang, automation, testing, and ensuring seamless communication between services. Responsibilities include implementing features in Golang services, participating in code reviews, and maintaining software security. You will also actively suggest improvements and communicate with other teams. The role requires 6+ years of backend software engineering experience, 3+ years of Golang programming, familiarity with container technologies, and fluency in French and English. Requirements
- +6 years of experience as Software Engineer (Backend) , designing, building, and deploying user-facing, infrastructure-related, and/or API-based products
- +3 years of Golang programming β professional experience in a production environment
- Familiar with container/orchestrator technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and Continuous Integration
- Ability to ship opinionated architectural choices and code, and to share software best practices

- Fluent (written and spoken) in French and English
Responsibilities
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
- Develop and implement software features in our Golang services (data aggregators, APIs, Blockchain Transaction crafting, ...)
- Take part in automation, testing, and CI/CD processes
- Participate in code review, bug fixing, code maintenance
- Ensure that our services communicate with each other seamlessly, have minimal downtime, and recover quickly
- Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company)
- Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices
- Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a certified environment (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA...)
