Golang Backend Software Developer

• Have experience developing API services with gRPC or REST
• Have familiarity with infrastructure as code tooling (Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform or others)
• Have the ability to apply design principles and methodologies for building reliable, scalable and high-performance backend architectures
• Have experience using relational or non-relational database technology (MariaDB, RDS, DynamoDB, Redis)

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Backend Services by designing and implementing functionality for new and existing microservices
• Work with front-end teams and product to build delightful customer experiences
• Maintain a High Bar of Quality for the team, producing readable code, writing testable code, refactoring legacy systems, actively contributing to development standards and cross-team architectural reviews
• Participate in a Rotating On-Call, responsible for service uptime, availability of critical functions, and performing root cause analysis of incidents to identify steps towards lasting remediation
• Organize and communicate the technical details of upcoming projects through our architectural review process

Preferred Qualifications

• Have familiarity with asynchronous event processing (Kafka, SQS, or others)
• Have familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Kibana, or similar)
• Have experience with telecommunication (e.g. SIMs, MVNOs)
• Have experience with migrating from legacy stacks (i.e. PHP, Ruby)
