Join a well-established Legal & Lobbying Firm as their seasoned Operations Manager. Lead and coordinate lobbying and government relations teams engaged in state and federal advocacy. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, political science, public administration, or a related field
- Over 7 years of experience in operations management, ideally within lobbying, government affairs, or public policy
- Familiarity with legislative and regulatory processes at both state and federal levels
- Awareness of compliance requirements pertinent to lobbying activities
- Experience in leading remote teams
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and overseeing complex projects
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership skills with a background in managing professionals
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in project management tools and reporting systems
- Capability to prioritize tasks and make decisions in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the efforts of lobbyists and attorneys on both state and federal initiatives
- Direct the planning, implementation, and assessment of advocacy campaigns
- Facilitate regular team meetings and foster collaboration across departments
- Generate and deliver weekly reports and updates to executive leadership
- Act as the main point of contact for major project challenges and ensure prompt resolution
- Track project schedules, deliverables, and resource management
- Occasionally travel within the country to enhance team operations and client interactions
- Cultivate strong client relationships through consistent communication
- Create and execute operational processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or MPA)
- Prior experience in a consulting or professional services firm
