Summary

Join Brightflag's Tooling team as a Software Engineer and play a key role in the success of Engineering and Customer Success teams. You will build and maintain customer onboarding web applications used by Customer Support, enhancing existing software tooling processes. This role offers opportunities to grow your coding skills across various technologies, including Java & Spring, React, SQL, and RESTful APIs. You will have full ownership of features from design to deployment, directly impacting the platform's growth. Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent professional experience
  • Have experience in Java development
  • Have experience using and maintaining SQL databases (preferably MySql)
  • Have experience with Spring MVC, HTML 5 / CSS, JavaScript and Git
  • Have experience with agile software development methodologies (such as Scrum)
  • Have knowledge of or experience with RESTful APIs
  • Have experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers
  • Possess strong problem-solving abilities
  • Possess good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Directly impact the success and growth of the Brightflag platform
  • Take full ownership of features from design to deployment
  • Build and design features from database, back-end to front-end
  • Craft innovative and efficient solutions to technical problems
  • Help drive the future of Brightflag products with imaginative ideas
  • Use MySQL mapping queries to translate Brightflag data to API payloads for external AP systems, like Oracle Financials and Coupa

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have 1+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, internship or equivalent
  • Have experience with Freemarker templating engine
  • Have knowledge of or experience with React or AngularJS
  • Have knowledge of or experience with SOAP APIs
  • Have knowledge of IT security
  • Have high-growth startup experience
  • Have knowledge of building SaaS products
