Group Financial Accountant

Summary

Join a dynamic team as an experienced financial accountant for a 9-month parental cover position in a £700m+ turnover private equity-backed global business.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with technical skills and a thorough understanding of consolidation
• Degree-level qualification
• IFRS experience
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), fixed asset accounting, etc
• Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a positive communication style
• Proven ability to work optimally in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues at all levels

Responsibilities

• Play a hands-on role in closing monthly results, financial year-end, preparing statutory financial documents (IFRS), and participating in various accounting projects such as operational improvement and simplification
• Work closely with our outsourced finance provider on month-end transactional activities
• Help build and maintain uniform and consistently documented and applied financial policies and processes
• Assist in implementing and developing supporting platforms (e.g., Business Objects, Tableau, Blackline)
