Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a G-Suite/Google Workspace Administrator or related role
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Extensive experience with Google Admin Console, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, and other Workspace tools
- Proficient in managing users, groups, policies, and devices in a large enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of Google Vault, security and compliance features, and data protection policies
- Experience with third-party Google Workspace integrations and APIs
- Scripting experience with Google Apps Script, PowerShell, or other relevant technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of security frameworks and protocols such as SSO, OAuth, and MFA
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Google Workspace environment, including user accounts, groups, shared drives, and access controls
- Set up and manage Google Workspace apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Meet, etc.) ensuring optimal performance
- Configure and manage organizational policies, security settings, and permissions to ensure compliance with company policies
- Provide Tier 2/3 support to users across the organization for G-Suite-related issues, including email, document sharing, and collaboration tools
- Implement and support user provisioning, de-provisioning, and role changes via Google Admin Console or automated processes
- Implement and monitor security settings, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), email encryption, and data loss prevention (DLP)
- Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and industry standards
- Perform regular security audits, assess risks, and recommend improvements
- Manage third-party integrations and APIs connected to Google Workspace, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance
- Automate tasks related to Google Workspace administration using scripting (e.g., Google Apps Script, PowerShell, etc.)
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to support the adoption of Google Workspace tools
- Optimize performance and ensure scalability of the Google Workspace environment
- Identify areas for improvement, suggest and implement best practices for G-Suite services
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions for critical data within Google Workspace
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity
- Provide training and documentation to users and IT team members on Google Workspace best practices
- Stay updated with new features and releases from Google and lead efforts to implement and train staff on new tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Workspace Administrator Certification
- ITIL, CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications
